Global Inventory Lead – Seco Tools Are you ready to shape the future of inventory management on a global scale? As our Global Inventory Lead, you play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies that optimize stock levels, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial performance across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Leading global inventory strategy to optimize stock levels across regions and business units.
Monitoring and managing inventory KPIs, including Days in Inventory (DII) and Days Slow-Moving Inventory (DSMI).
Partnering with demand planning, supply planning, and logistics to ensure inventory availability while minimizing holding costs.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and assessing a wide range of inventory policies and controls.
Revising inventory segmentation and stocking policies to balance service levels and cost.
Leading benchmarking initiatives and implementing best practices to reduce working capital tied up in inventory.
Acting as a global point of contact for inventory ownership and NWC initiatives, aligning finance, procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams.
The location for this position is globally flexible, preferably close to one of our sites – such as Fagersta & Stockholm (Sweden), Guanzate (Italy), Pune (India), Bourges & Bouxwiller (France), Lottum (Netherlands), Ciechanow (Poland) or Reynoldsville (US).
Desired Profile We’re looking for someone with experience in inventory management and working capital optimization in a global context. You’re skilled in analyzing end‑to‑end cash conversion cycles, interpreting inventory‑related components, and using KPIs such as DSO (Days of Sales Outstanding), DPO (Days of Payables Outstanding), and DII. You’re comfortable working with financial data and translating insights into actionable strategies. Acting in a global environment calls for fluency in English.
You’re a strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in cross‑functional environments. You have a proactive mindset, the ability to influence stakeholders, and a talent for driving alignment across diverse teams. Problem‑solving and strategic thinking come naturally to you, and you’re motivated by delivering measurable improvements.
