ABOUT ORIENT EXPRESS LA MINERVA, ROME
Considered the beloved capital of the Orient Express legend, Rome will host the first Orient Express hotel, Minerva, in 2024. In partnership with Italian luxury hotel group Arsenale S.p.A., Orient Express has entrusted the interior architecture and artistic direction to Hugo Toro. The former Palazzo Fonseca, a sumptuous 17th-century palace with a majestic façade, features Roman columns, sculptures by Rinaldo Rinaldi, and the goddess Minerva. In late 2024, a new décor inspired by Roman domus and the riches of the 'Eternal City' will be unveiled, blending contemporary elegance with historic grandeur.
