Evaluation of the physical and chemical parameters of the products will be required using such analytical instruments as micrometers and viscometers.- The admin must be able to follow directions and keep accurate, thorough written records that can be used to reproduce experimental conditions.- It is also required to deal with the Production Department, transmitting to them the instructions for scaling up recipes. This means the possibility to assist on factory trials on the shop floor, collect data and support in the compilation of factory trial reports. Will be required to fully understand the manufacturing process and the impact that various formulations and physical parameters have on processing.- R&D Admin shall drive the local Product Committee, collecting the requests coming from Sales, R&D and Locally driven projects, logging the topics in the database, introducing the topics to the local team and driving the discussion, in order to drive them to a decision, log the result in the database and give feedback to the Department who submitted or is impacted by the Product Committee.- In this role, soft skills are required, to deal with colleagues in a collaborative environment. Digital presentations, production records and reports will be used as support. Close collaboration with other R&D departments in the BC network is required, in case of implementation of recipes and projects for WE market.**Key responsibilities include**:- Compile and analyze the results obtained in the production of the samples produced on the pilot equipment.
- Assist project manager in the development of new formulations, management of existing recipes, and management of customer projects
- Maintains a full understanding of R&D processes, tools, and databases
- Participate actively in the different projects with the R&D Team.
- Works within all regulatory requirements
- Committed to providing a safe food product
- Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements
- Perform all other related duties as required
- Use the data collection system to enter information related to the projects and samples produced.
- Collect requests, informations, data and drive the local Product Committee
- Drive the discussion in Product Committee, creating a collaborative environment, presenting the topics and support the team to reach a decision
- Log in the meeting management tool the notes of the discussion and the decision taken
- collaboration with R&D community- Education language, skill & qualifications-
- Bachelor or Master of Science in a technical field (Biology, Chemistry, Food Science)-Food Science degree preferred
- Min. 2 years relevant experience in food industry, knowledge of confectionary sector is a plus
- Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal relation skills;
- Have a strong analytical mind, be flexible and willing to travel as needed;
- Software knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
