Role:
BESS & Solar Project Developer – Italy
We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Developer to lead the development of utility-scale battery energy storage and solar PV projects across Italy. This role involves taking projects from early-stage land identification through to full development and ready-to-build status.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and secure suitable sites for large-scale battery and solar projects.
Lead the development process including land lease negotiations, permitting, and grid applications.
Coordinate with consultants, local authorities, and internal teams to move projects forward.
Monitor planning and regulatory developments relevant to renewable energy projects.
Build strong relationships with landowners, regional authorities, and grid operators.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and compliance standards are met.
Requirements:
Proven experience developing renewable energy projects in Italy, ideally including BESS and solar.
Strong knowledge of Italian permitting processes, land acquisition, and grid application procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Fluent in Italian; proficiency in English is an advantage.
Degree in engineering, environmental science, energy, or a related field preferred.
