Oversee site surveys, route planning, and civil works to ensure optimal cable routing and minimal environmental impact. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and utility providers to align installation activities with project schedules. Supervise cable pulling, splicing, and testing (e.g., HV withstand, OTDR, sheath testing) to ensure quality and compliance. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for safe and efficient operations. Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local grid codes) and health & safety regulations. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site engineering support during installation. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in land cable installation for power transmission, distribution, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of cable jointing, termination techniques, and testing procedures. Familiarity with cable installation equipment (e.g., cable ploughs, tensioners, winches). Ability to interpret technical drawings and cable route maps.
