A leading international IPP operating in the energy and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Senior PMO to support the delivery of major projects across Italy.
This long-term freelance engagement (minimum 12 months) offers the opportunity to play a key role across both pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring strong technical governance, schedule control, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical coordination during pre-construction and construction phasesOversee and validate external engineering deliverablesManage secondary permitting processes and regulatory interfacesMonitor project schedules, budgets, and reporting frameworksProvide strategic PMO support to Project Managers during executionCoordinate technical due diligence with external advisors and stakeholdersDefine and implement design standards, methodologies, and best practicesContribute to innovation initiatives and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements
Requirements6+ years' experience in PMO, project coordination, or engineering roles within energy, construction, or infrastructure sectorsDemonstrated experience supporting large-scale projects through full delivery lifecycleBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical disciplineStrong knowledge of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and reporting systemsExperience managing consultants and external engineering teamsSolid understanding of permitting and regulatory frameworks in Italy (advantageous)Professional proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
