Site Operations Manager, AMZL (Last Mile) - South
Amazon is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead Transportation operations within the Last Mile network. This role focuses on front line management, driving scalable and continuous improvements across Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain & Transportation execution teams, and delivering strong Customer Experience.
Responsibilities
* Quickly understand the business issues and challenges of Transportation operations; identify strengths/weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement.
* Map business requirements, understand business process, study and analyze workflows, design solutions and prepare functional specifications.
* Be data driven, develop and report performance metrics, executive updates, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to identify potential opportunities for improving Customer Experience.
* Deep dive and acquire extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices and apply them to solve business problems.
* Design, develop, pilot and rollout enterprise-wide programs around performance improvement, cycle time improvement for returns, delivery experience, financial auditing, and identification of alternate delivery services.
* Develop standard operating procedures.
* Direct accountability for setting and meeting operational goals, strategic planning and forecasting.
* Lead a team of business analysts, program managers or area managers.
* Lead process improvements.
Demonstrated Abilities
We are looking for smart, analytical people who are passionate about operations and capable of driving change, building an organization, and leading through others by giving them a direct management assignment in our Operations Services and Technology Centers. Ideal candidates leverage strong analytical skills, communication, and think big.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
* Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
