Required Responsibilities Manage site certifications and customer quality interface: - Manage IATF 16949 certification and lead ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal and external audits; - Lead on-site customer audits; - Coordinate supplier and internal audits as required; - Prepare PPAP packages as required by automotive customers; - Lead root cause analysis through 8D methodology to resolve customer quality complaints. Drive Quality control: - Provide quality control information and sign off on product disposition; - Define acceptance of customers quality manuals; - Manage internal and external round-robins; - Maintain raw material and product quality specifications, managing a team of quality technicians; - Generate, analyze and compile data related to product localization for Mozzate site; - Organize quality training and mentor others at the Mozzate site as necessary. Ensure and maintain compliancy and lead continuous improvements: - Ensure product compliancy with automotive standards or EE certifications (UL, VDE) or drinking water requirements; - Initiate and lead quality improvement efforts where they can bring the most value to our customers, the plant, and the company; - Lead/participate in continuous quality improvement efforts with multi-functional teams; - Interact with other compounding sites in EMEAI and globally, to participate to global projects and to share best practices; - Closely work with Manufacturing, Technology and Commercial teams. Required Skills: - Strong computer skills, preferably including DCS, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Business Systems (e.g., SAP), Minitab - Experience with 8D reports, FMEA methodology and building process flow diagrams and control plans - Strong ability to communicate, organize/interpret, present data, and influence others - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously - Experienced in Six Sigma methodology - Excellent interpersonal skills and agility Required Experience - Significant quality experience (minimum 7-8 years) in chemical manufacturing facilities, previous experience in plastics is a plus. - Bachelor of Science degree; Chemical Engineering is preferred. - Must have internal/supplier audit experience (both ISO 9001/IATF 16949). Third party auditor certification is preferred. - Support development of Quality testing requirements. - Proven track record of driving quality management system improvements and business results. Desired Certifications Green Belt certification (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement. Black Belt or equivalent certification is preferred.
