Main responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, creating and maintaining adequate inventory levels and liaising with inventory teams and manufacturing to minimize stock out and supply chain risks. The Buyer I will work closely with other departments to support the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand and production schedule. /ph3Duties /h3p1.Process purchase orders and follow up deliveries /pp2.Source for new potential suppliers and negotiate rates /pp3.Monitor inventories and ensure they are kept at appropriate levels /pp4.Maintain and update supplier vendor list /pp5.Work towards department KPI’s /pp6.Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, RD, Regulatory as required /pp7.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders /pp8.Trouble shot all issues that may occur at any stage of the procurement process /pp9.Contract management /ph3Education Degree /h3pBachelor's Degree in Economics /ph3Required Experience Competencies /h3ulliProactivity, critical thinking, problem solving skills /liliGood IT skills (Microsoft Office365 suite), Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, Power Query are a plus. /liliKnowledge of Oracle would be a plus /liliGood English written and spoken /lili2 year working experience, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations /li /ulpThis position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved, including regular communications outside the province of Quebec, training, email communications, and frequent meetings and interactions with English- only employees.
