Overview
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Manager to join the Manufacturing Team and to support the Manufacturing Manager and his teams based in Parma, Italy, which produces beverage aluminium cans, operating 7/7, 24h/24h on a continuous shift system. This is an ideal opportunity for a high calibre person to make a difference whilst gaining valuable experience to enhance your career in a large organization. The Shift Manager is responsible for team leadership, driving the achievement of production plans and targets to deliver an efficient, safe and cost effective manufacturing operation.
Your Mission In Crown
Responsibilities include:
* The day to day management of the shift employees, with a specific focus on production, as well as leading and developing them in accordance with the EHS and HR policies and procedures.
* A safety first approach is essential and previous experience of operating with a continuous improvement approach to the resolution of challenges would be advantageous. Attention to detail with regards to quality of product is critical and this focus must be followed through with your shift teams.
* This role is based in a unique fast-paced environment and in order to succeed, the successful candidate, likely to be a qualified engineer, will need to be passionate about their work, have a self-motivated approach to all tasks and possess excellent and proven man-management skills.
* This is a pivotal role in the plant and as such, you will require outstanding communication skills as you will be expected to manage communications and feedback to employees and manager’s alike.
About You
* The successful candidate is a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering graduate, with minimum 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role acquired in high speed manufacturing FMCG industries. Experience in beverage can-making is an advantage.
* Lean Culture, Process oriented with analytical and outstanding communication skills.
* Proven man-management skills
* Committed to Health and Safety, you demonstrate evidence of working productively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines whilst demonstrating attention to detail and high quality performance.
* Besides Italian, Written and spoken English is mandatory, with good organization skills, able to set priorities and keep deadlines. SAP knowledge a plus with operational computer literacy (MS office).
* We expect you to work with flexibility, on shift pattern, in all lines.
