Job Description As Control Systems Senior Engineer you will be part of Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section. Your technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications will help you in taking ownership of the control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs. Essential Responsibilities
Manage with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling Be responsible for defining, developing and validating the architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level Master the control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors Ensure and drive the adherence to GE's development process including support for internal and external process audits Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments Lead the communication with the SW team in implementing the concepts in Software
Qualifications/Requirements
Master's Degree in Engineering field or other STEM disciplines with experience in Control System design Previous experience in an equivalent engineering position Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sectors Proven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V‑lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model‑based Design (MBD) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++). Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles Documented exposure to the Regulation & Standard Proven experience in multinational companies Solid oral and written communication skills Fluency in Italian and English Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, is required.
