Proposal Installation Engineer (Submarine) Join to apply for the Proposal Installation Engineer (Submarine) role at Prysmian. Role overview: As the Installation Proposal Engineer you will join our Installation Department in Milan HQ reporting to the Proposal Lead Installation Engineer-Submarine. Your contribution will be important mainly at the tender stage of Power Cable Systems Projects and marginally during project construction. Responsibilities Analyze tender documentation and technical specifications, including survey data when available. Develop technical solutions aligned with customer requirements and internal standards. Collaborate with Installation Engineering and other departments to validate proposed solutions. Participate in internal and customer clarification meetings, including site visits when needed. Prepare technical specifications (RFQs) and evaluate subcontractor proposals with Purchasing, considering technical, economic, and scheduling aspects. Finalize installation solutions in coordination with departments such as Sales, System Design, Logistics, Legal, HSE, and Quality. Estimate installation costs and assess related risks. Draft technical descriptions and installation documentation required by the customer. Contribute to the Plan of Work and provide input for overall project planning. Support negotiations and revisions of the tender package based on customer feedback. Ensure compliance with internal procedures throughout the process. After contract award, participate in internal kick-off meetings and share key information with the execution team. Provide technical assistance during transition from tender to execution, including meetings with customers and subcontractors. Monitor project developments to identify changes from the tender stage and contribute to lessons learned for future tenders. Main Requirements Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Curious and eager to quickly learn and become autonomous. Precise, proactive, problem solving and target oriented. Ability to understand and conceptualize complexity into concise frameworks. Pragmatic, flexible, able to set priorities and adapt to changes. Good relationship building and teamwork skills. Knowledge of common software such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and general web tools. Willingness to travel domestically and abroad on short notice. For experienced candidates, at least one of the added-value requirements: knowledge or experience in submarine cable installation; experience in proposal engineering activities (costing, planning, subcontracting, technical proposal preparation, negotiation) related to marine installation or similar.
