This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and sitting on the Senior Management Team. You’ll shape the finance function and play a critical part in driving financial performance, operational rigour, and strategic decision-making. What will the Financial Controller role involve? • Own and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks • Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts • Oversee daily finance operations with the support of a Finance Assistant • Build robust financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning • Provide insight-driven financial analysis—spotting trends, risks, and opportunities • Lead the statutory audit process and manage all VAT and compliance submissions • Contribute to key business initiatives and support strategic projects Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy: • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) • Strong technical and commercial finance background • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an SME or high-growth environment • Confident working with finance systems and leveraging data to improve outcomes • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with an eye for detail and a focus on improvement Additional benefits and information for the role of Financial Controller: • Competitive salary performance-based bonus • Private medical insurance, life assurance, and pension • Friendly, flexible working culture with hybrid options • Onsite parking and easy access to the A303 corridor CMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
