In this role you will drive operational excellence, optimize data center deployment strategies, and create seamless connectivity solutions that support Amazon’s massive technological ecosystem. /ph3Key Job Responsibilities /h3ulliManaging and developing teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure the highest levels of performance. /liliDelivering capacity to existing data centers. /liliHelping build and bring online new data centers. /liliConstantly improving all processes and procedures. /liliAssisting and managing relationships with external vendors and contractors. /liliLiaising with internal teams and management groups. /liliEnsuring adherence to and exceeding local health safety standards in all data centers. /liliCreating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of data centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes. /liliAssisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management. /li /ulh3Essential Requirements /h3ulliAbility to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed. /liliWillingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until the assigned facility is operational. /liliTravel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of the assigned facility. /liliCandidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulli2+ years of management/team lead function experience. /lili2+ years of experience in a data center technology role and/or 2+ years of knowledge in TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optic types, and test equipment. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering). /liliExperience with installing physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks. /liliUnderstanding of networking infrastructure topology. /liliCertifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA). /liliBehavioral interviewing and hiring experience. /liliAbility to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends. /li /ulpThe base salary range for this position is USD 78,400.00 – 137,300.00 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
