To learn more and apply, please refer to the following: ROLE The Operations & DevOps Software Engineer will manage operational procedures for ocean forecasting systems, monitor their performance, and oversee data repository management. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement, maintain, port, monitor, and recover operational chains, including validation and visualization systems. Ensure data consistency for operational inputs and outputs. Design and develop automatic monitoring and alerting systems. Create automatic procedures to verify data consistency. Build CI/CD pipelines for deployment and updates. Develop disaster recovery plans for operational failures. REQUIREMENTS M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience. Proficiency with Linux OS and command line. Skills in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.). Experience with version control systems like git. Preferred experiences include: Knowledge of HPC architectures and job schedulers (e.g., IBM Spectrum LSF). Experience with workflow management platforms (Cylc, Luigi). Managing/manipulating NetCDF data (NCO, CDO routines). Containerization tools (Docker, Singularity). System administration and DevOps practices. Fluency in English. DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Initial appointment of 24 months, starting ASAP. Gross annual salary range: €25,000 - €40,000.
