This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company’s growth and at a pivotal point in computing history. /ppVAST Data is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to establish and lead our SE function in the APAC region. This role requires both technical leadership and direct customer engagement. The successful candidate will build and manage a regional team of Systems Engineers while also acting as a senior individual contributor in high-value opportunities. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliTeam Leadership Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop a team of Systems Engineers across APAC. Define clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms for the SE team. Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and skills development to ensure technical and customer-facing excellence. Establish operational processes for coverage, deal support, and technical escalations in the region. /liliCustomer Partner Engagement: Serve as the senior technical leader in priority opportunities—leading technical presentations, solution design, and proof-of-concept activities. Act as the technical point of escalation for customer issues within the region. Partner with CSPs, GSIs, and key channel partners to ensure technical alignment and successful solution integration. Drive consistent delivery of technical assets (demos, architectures, reference designs) for customers in APAC. /liliBusiness Alignment: Collaborate with Regional Sales Leadership to align SE resources with pipeline priorities and customer opportunities. Ensure technical coverage planning across accounts and territories. Partner with Global SE leadership to implement best practices and align regional execution with global strategy. Provide structured feedback to Product Management to represent APAC customer and partner needs in the product roadmap. /liliOperational Execution: Track and report on SE activity metrics, proof-of-concept success rates, and regional technical wins. Ensure technical consistency across SE engagements by standardizing architectures, demos, and sales plays. Manage SE resource allocation to balance new opportunities, customer expansions, and partner support. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulli8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical customer-facing roles. /lili2+ years of management or team leadership experience, ideally in APAC markets. /liliProven ability to build, scale, and manage technical teams in a fast-growth environment. /liliStrong technical foundation in distributed systems, storage, networking, or cloud infrastructure. /liliHands-on experience designing and implementing solutions for enterprise or CSP customers. /liliStrong communication, organization, and operational execution skills. /liliAbility to operate independently and establish structure in a rapidly scaling region. /li /ulh3Job details /h3ulliSeniority level: Mid-Senior level /liliEmployment type: Full-time /liliJob function: Sales and Business Development /liliIndustries: Software Development /li /ulpWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
