About the teamThe AIS European Training Centre (ETC) in Gavirate, Italy, supports Australian athletes competing in Europe.
Managed by ETC staff in collaboration with other ASC branches, it maintains world-class facilities to meet high-performance standards and support the 2032+ High Performance and Win Well strategy.
About the roleThe Corporate Finance Manager (CFM) provides financial and corporate advice to the ETC Lead and ASC's finance division, ensuring compliance with Australian and Italian government and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities include budgeting, managing payments and receivables, capital asset management, forecasting, risk management, and overseeing payroll and HR for Italian staff and contractors within Italian employment laws.
The CFM also holds partial Power of Attorney for the ETC (ASC Italia Branch) and must demonstrate proficiency in Italian language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
About youWe seek a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, experience in finance and corporate functions within Australian Government and international contexts, and proficiency in Italian.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, culturally sensitive, and experienced working in small teams, remotely, and overseas.
Qualifications and experienceA relevant degree or equivalent experience, preferably in High Performance sport.At least 8 years in finance or business management roles within the Australian government and sport sectors.Strong bilingual (Italian/English) communication skills.Proven success in developing financial strategies, capital optimisation, investment, and operational budgeting in compliance with Australian and Italian legislation.Experience in stakeholder engagement and promoting bilateral cooperation in sport.This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Gavirate, Italy.
