_Ensuring VRV - Chart’s Success _: The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of the assigned category of goods and must ensure best cost, quality, service and delivery. Functional Interactions include manufacturing, engineering, quality, sales, maintenance, suppliers, finance, scheduling and purchasing teams. _ What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be _: - Review and evaluate safety stock levels - Coordinate and define material available for use by multiple locations - Contribute to the engineering change process - Track and report vendor supply issues - Maintain knowledge of supplier operations and capabilities - Work with quality during ISO audits - Coordinate with other buyers for procurement of material, services, and equipment based on MRP demand and/or requisitions - Drive and implement recommendations enabling continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities - Scout and qualify new suppliers _ Qualification and Requisition_: - Previous experience of at least 5 years in the job - Technical education such as Mechanical/Management Engineering Degree or Economics Degree or Equivalent Title - Coming from heavy engineering industries, preferably from the pressure equipment, or automotive - Analytical approach to work and organizational skills - Ability to work on job orders - Excellent ability to work in a team providing positive and proactive support to colleagues in various business functions - Good communication skills, relational skills and management of the unexpected - Good knowledge of Excel and previous experience and familiarity with ERP production, preferably SAP - Fluent knowledge of English - Excellent problem-solving skills and strong organizational and communication skills - Used to work with high level of accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced environment _VRV - Chart is an equal opportunity employer_: VRV - Chart Industries is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
