Responsibilities
\nYou will be responsible for the international legal needs of the Spine Business unit. Your duties include:\n
\n
- Drafting, managing, negotiating and processing international distribution agreements, HCP contracts, clinical study agreements, supply agreements, royalty agreements, consultancy agreements and agreements with business third parties.
\n
- Supporting the international tender activities with third party distributors in the Spine business.
\n
- Providing other legal needs of the international Spine business, including tender legal support, litigation support as required, and privacy law activities.
\n
- Collaborating with all departments in Orthofix Medical Inc. and its subsidiaries, particularly the Spine business unit, as well as with the company’s headquarters in the US, and with external legal advisors and other consultants, as needed.
\n
- Working with Finance and other departments to provide legal advice and manage intake of legal needs for the international Spine business.
\n
- Managing the privacy management system and coordinating with the company’s privacy supervisors with respect to international spine matters.
\n
- Managing internal authorization flows and collection of signatures as required.
\n
- Managing international spine product complaints with the Regulatory department.
\n
- Working on litigation matters as required, in coordination with the Legal Department’s global litigation lead.
\n
- Other duties as may be necessary from time to time.
\n
\nYou will not have direct reports.\n
What will your contribution be?
\n\n
- Provide general business consultancy legal support and advice to all business functions.
\n
- Negotiate and draft business agreements with third parties, including Healthcare Professionals, Agents, distributors, suppliers, service providers, etc.
\n
- Support the international spine tender activities with distributors.
\n
- Support IP development and protection activities as requested.
\n
- Support the review and implementation of the company’s international spine marketing materials.
\n
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Legal Department, including those responsible for Spine business activities in the United States, to ensure consistency and optimize business outcomes.
\n
- Coordinate department activities, processes and procedures for international Spine.
\n
- Coordinate with Finance and other departments to provide legal advice and manage intake of legal needs for the international Spine business.

What are we looking for?

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law.
\n
- Admission / Professional Qualification as a practicing lawyer preferred.
\n
- Specialization in corporate law preferred.
\n
- At least 5 years of experience within a law firm and/or within the legal office of a multinational company, preferably in biosciences or healthcare.
\n
- Commercial contracting experience will be highly valued.
\n
- Fluent English; French knowledge will be appreciated.
\n
- Good use of Microsoft Office.
