As a Software Development Manager in our AB 3P Tech team, you'll lead highly technical, entrepreneurial teams building distributed systems that power the B2B selling experience. You'll drive end-to-end development from design to delivery, make strategic technology decisions, and mentor engineering talent. Your team will own critical systems spanning from Seller Central to Amazon Business detail pages, cart, and checkout for merchant-fulfilled offers. Key Job Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Development: Design and implement scalable solutions that enhance software architecture, build reliable, high-performance systems using Web Services, APIs, Micro-Services architecture, apply design patterns and coding best practices to deliver quality solutions, and drive architectural decisions that enable scalable, reliable, and efficient AI systems. Team & Collaboration: Lead and mentor team members to achieve their full potential, partner effectively with stakeholders and offshore development teams, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. About the Team Basic Qualifications 3 years of engineering team management experience. 7 years of engineering experience. 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience. Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle. Experience partnering with product or program management teams. Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
