Ph3ROLE SUMMARY /h3 pWe are seeking an outstanding teacher of Science to deliver the Middle school science programme at our Caviglia campus in the south of Milan. For the right candidate there is also the possibility of the role of through school science coordinator. /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liLead and develop Middle School Science teaching and learning. /li liDeliver engaging, differentiated lessons that maximise student progress and achievement. /li liMonitor attainment through effective assessment and targeted intervention. /li liOversee laboratory operations, health and safety, and departmental resources. /li liMaintain departmental policies, documentation and risk assessments. /li liContribute to curriculum development and whole‑school improvement initiatives. /li liEngage in ongoing professional learning and collaborative departmental practice. /li liMonitor, record and report student progress in line with school policies. /li liPromote Science through extracurricular activities, trips, competitions and events. /li liRepresent the department and school positively within the wider community. /li liUndertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Principal or Senior Deputy. /li liHold an EU passport or valid Italian work permit (permesso di soggiorno). /li /ul h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liHold an EU passport or valid Italian work permit (permesso di soggiorno). /li liMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education (or PGCE / equivalent). /li liEstablished teaching experience in a range of educational settings. /li liGenuine interest in developing a best‑in‑class science programme and the interpersonal and leadership skills to implement this. /li liHigh professional standards and a dedication to excellence across all aspects of school life. /li liConfident, articulate communication skills. /li liA positive and flexible approach to school life. /li liResilience and determination. /li liExperience of and willingness to engage in quality assurance processes for continuous improvement. /li liSome ability to speak Italian is desirable although not essential. /li liEnjoyment and genuine interest in working with and learning from students aged 11 – 14. /li liApplicants must be willing to be active, positive, flexible participants in a hard‑working team of teachers. /li liThere is scope for a middle leadership position of responsibility for suitably qualified candidates. /li /ul h3SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT /h3 pInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
