Job Req Number: 109394Time Type: Full TimeSustainability Manager, Road, MediterraneanResponsibilitiesThis role is primarily focused on the Environmental aspect of the ESG agenda driven by dedicated (preferably full-time) and skilled Sustainability individualsThe Operational Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving sustainability initiatives within DSV's operations, aligning local strategies with global sustainability, and communicating relevant sustainability updates to country colleagues and educating colleagues and customers on DSV’s decarbonization services.The role bridges operational and commercial strategies while contributing to DSV’s vision of becoming a more sustainable company & offering relevant and value-added decarbonization services and support to our customers.Operational Responsibilities:Lead and implement sustainability strategies in alignment with DSV’s and customers' environmental targets.Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between various local functions and global sustainability teams.Coordinate and manage the rollout of sustainability initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with HSE ambassadors and local teams.Actively participate in Network and Training meetings organized by Sustainability organizationCommunicate sustainability updates and progress to leadership and staff, fostering awareness and engagement.Distribute corporate sustainability guidelines, updates, and best practices to local teams.Take active role in creating a sustainability network within and between local teams, including identifying and training staff responsible for workstreams that contribute to ESG reporting, carbon fund business case development, haulier dialogues, etc.Track and report on current and future sustainability initiatives and CO2 footprint data.Waste Management: provide proactive support to Facility Managers in sustainability practices and waste reduction initiatives.Distribute corporate sustainability guidelines, updates, and best practices to local teams.Stay informed on local regulations, trends, and the UN 2030 Agenda, ensuring compliance and proactive sustainability efforts.Commercial Focus:Support business teams in customer dialogues around sustainability and Decarbonizing Logistics products as well as assist in developing tailor-made sustainability solutions for customers.Ensure training and competency development for all customer facing roles in local country to be able to sell sustainable solutions and converse with customers on sustainability related topics such as guidance and legislations and approach to decarbonization.Understand the commercial pricing structure for sustainable products and assist in quotingDSV – Global transport and logisticsWorking at DSV means playing in a different league.As a global leader in transport and logistics, we have been on an extraordinary journey of growth.
