The global platform for buying dream bikes: an Italian marketplace for high-end bicycles, with a hybrid business model—E-commerce (purchasing and reselling used bikes, mostly from World Tour teams) and Marketplace (shops subscribe to list and sell their inventory).
The role
The Warehouse & Shipping Specialist is the operational figure who ensures that every bike sold on Bike Room reaches the buyer in the best possible conditions, following the Bike Room packaging protocol to guarantee that the bike arrives intact.
Responsabilities
Quality control before shipping. Performs a final check before closing the box: cleaning, aesthetic conditions, presence of all declared components, correct documentation. Takes traceability photos before packaging, which are fundamental in case of a dispute.
Warehouse management. Maintains the warehouse organized and traceable: bike positioning, stock of packaging materials (boxes, foam, zip ties, protections), timely reporting when consumables are running low. Guarantees a fluid flow between arrivals and departures.
Documentation and traceability. Updates the system with bike status (arriving / ready / shipped), packaging photos, shipping data. Maintains a clear track of every step, fundamental in case of disputes or requests for clarification.
Required qualifications
Practical, precise person, accustomed to manual work.
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping, or bike workshop is preferred; technical knowledge of bikes (even as an enthusiast) is an important plus to independently manage disassembly and packaging.
Basic familiarity with digital tools (management software, label makers, courier tracking systems). Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail are non-negotiable requirements: every bike that leaves the warehouse tells the story of the quality of the Bike Room service.
Full-time position, on-site at the Bike Room warehouse.
