The FOAA team is a fast‐paced, team‐focused environment dedicated to delivering great experiences for our customers. FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our VAT Accounting team (Indirect Tax).
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Perform/Support month‐end activities which include closing of sub‐ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance‐sheet account analysis.
2. Prepare month‐end flux analysis for all P&L and balance‐sheet accounts and share with stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for the changes.
3. Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply in‐depth knowledge, principles, and systems design to recognize complex and unique issues; develop resolution and/or consistently consult with leadership in order to achieve resolution.
4. Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and also work on process improvements.
5. Responsible for preparing balance‐sheet reconciliations (reconciliations with VAT tax returns/sub‐ledger reports), highlighting issues, and taking necessary action.
6. Interact and work closely with auditors on audit‐related queries and ensure smooth completion of audits.
7. Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control, and align improvements/changes with stakeholders.
8. Perform and support new business/system launches, including UAT of the accounting entries and financial reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable, or experience with documenting accounting conclusions.
- CA with 0‐4 years of post‐qualification experience in month‐end closing of books of accounts, working on various sub‐ledgers, accounting knowledge, balance‐sheet reconciliation, GST/VAT (Indirect tax), and reporting activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills.
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non‐technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Experience with MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
- Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field, or experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable.
