Development Manager - Renewable Energy
A key strategic role for a high-performing professional eager to play a central part in accelerating Europe's clean energy transition.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the progression of utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects across multiple jurisdictions, managing land, permitting, grid, and commercial development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new greenfield opportunities in renewable energy and storage
* Lead project development efforts through to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status, including land acquisition, permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder engagement
* Manage internal and external partners, consultants, and service providers to deliver on milestones, budgets, and timelines
* Maintain project tracking tools, databases, and GIS mapping for effective oversight
* Support commercial and power marketing initiatives
* Conduct regional market intelligence and competitor analysis
* Build and maintain relationships with local communities, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders
* Implement best-in-class systems, controls, and performance management for a multi-jurisdictional project portfolio
* Contribute to due diligence and technical support during acquisitions and project financing
* Provide development insight through the full project lifecycle—from concept through to commercial operations
* Frequent travel across Europe (50%+)
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years' experience in renewable energy project development, ideally with exposure to utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery storage
* Proven leadership of complex, cross-border development initiatives with strong stakeholder and partner management skills
* Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required, and fluency in other European languages is a plus
* Energetic, proactive, and flexible individual with strong self-drive and commercial acumen
