Additionally, the hotel has two versatile function rooms.
1. About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Milan, within the Engineering Department, the Shift Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the hotel. The Shift Technician reports to the department manager.
2. Key responsibilities include:
* Work independently on guest room requests and guest floors
* Carry out routine checks and maintenance work for the hotel
* Assist in updating work order status and record in the computer system
* Communicate with departments or relevant parties regarding work status
* Hold a Certificate of First Aid and mandatory Security training
3. Candidate requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Specialization in Plumbing, Air Conditioning Engineering, or Painting & Decoration is an advantage
* Strong technical knowledge in property maintenance
* Proficiency in English and Italian
* Hotel or guest services experience is a plus
* Excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients
