Ph3Job Description /h3 pAs a member of the Embedded Software Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing the distributed systems infrastructure and backend components for our next-generation onboard rail audio platform. You will architect and implement real-time audio frameworks, optimize embedded Linux performance, and ensure cybersecurity compliance. Your work will directly impact passenger safety and experience. You will report to the RD Technical Lead and collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, implement, and document distributed audio system components /li liCollaborate with hardware and system engineers to ensure reliability across networked devices /li liSupport software architecture decisions and conduct code reviews /li liDebug and optimize performance across embedded Linux devices /li liApply cybersecurity measures and integrate modern technologies such as containerization and edge computing /li liMentor junior engineers and maintain coding standards through automated tools and CI/CD pipelines /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field /li li5+ years of professional experience with modern C++ (C++14/17 or newer) and embedded Linux development /li liStrong knowledge of distributed systems and IP networking /li liProficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and Git /li liFamiliarity with build frameworks (Yocto), CI/CD pipelines, and cybersecurity best practices /li liFluent in English /li liWillingness to travel occasionally within Europe and internationally /li liNice‑to‑Have: Audio signal processing, containerization (Docker), advanced networking, microcontroller platforms, and interest in edge AI/ML /li /ul h3Legal Requirements /h3 pLegal authorization to work in the European Union is required.
