You act as a trusted sparring partner for colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders, translating concepts into clear technical direction for the team. You take a leading role in the design of complex hardware systems while effectively prioritizing multiple projects and clients.Your responsibilities as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer:Implement a diverse range of innovative solutions across industries, from designing cutting-edge medical IoT devices to developing next-generation high-speed computing platforms and everything in between.Take full ownership of design activities, ensuring the quality, integrity, and timely delivery of solutions.Develop and validate complete hardware subsystems, based on high-level requirements and detailed project specifications.Conduct in-depth analyses and studies, applying proven methodologies to deliver high-quality, effective solutions.Participate in the entire development lifecycle: from system requirement gathering and translating these into hardware architecture, to PCB design & routing, schematic design, testing, and integration.Provide senior-level expertise and guidance, supporting multiple teams within your domain and helping to elevate the overall technical craftsmanship of the organization.Identify risks and opportunities both within and beyond the project scope, ensuring relevant stakeholders are engaged and proactive.You are a sparring partner for junior engineers and your teammates.You have a proven track record in a multidisciplinary team (SW/FW/HW)Keeping up to date with the latest (high speed) technologies and converging them to the team.What do we offer you?This will make yousmarter:challenging and interesting projects in different domains; Benefit from the expertise of your technical buddy and more than 100 smart colleagues; Focus on guiding and coaching on personal development to achieve your ambitions; Annual study budget and customized training program within our TOPIC Academy; Tech events and knowledge sessions.This will make youbetter:Permanent contract; An all-in employment package between €62.000 and €85.000 (including net expense allowance, mobility package, 13th-month bonus, and holiday allowance). Final salary is based on relevant work experience and level of expertise; 26 vacation days (opportunity to buy extra days), pension scheme and relocation budget (when you relocate to the Netherlands).This will keep youhealthy:a good work-life balance, flexible working hours and hybrid way of working; An inspiring office environment with daily fresh fruit and a gym; The home office support package will turn your "home office" into an inspiring environment; Lots of fun during events like celebrations, sport activities and the weekly Friday afternoon drinks.What do you bring as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer?You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience; You have a successful track record in high-tech hardware development projects (high-speed, low-power designs, combining FPGAs with ARM microprocessors, DDR4 memories, fast ADCs and radio modules such as WiFi and Bluetooth) and are familiar with tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium Designer, HyperLinx; You are proficient in the full development cycle; from the translation ofsystem requirements into hardware design architecture and the schematic design, PCB design & routing to testing and integration; You are used to working in a structured (ISO-13485) development process, and can prioritize multiple projects and clients; You are communicative, have a can-do mentality and are a high-level conceptual thinker.
