Job Description:
The partnership&funding; specialist is responsible for securing funding for projects and initiatives, and to establish and manage relationship with research labs, universities, small medium enterprises, suppliers and other Divisions of Leonardo to ensure a smooth flow of ideas and execution inside and outside the Organization.
The partnership&funding; specialist works in collaboration with the T&I; broader team and with the Areas of the Division to determine funding needs, identify opportunities, and secure funding. He/she also manages the funding process, examines the documents of the calls, organizes meetings, acts as PM on the initiatives, follows the submissions, with frequent reporting to the central Organization and support areas of LDO.
Responsibilities
- Secure funding: Identify opportunities, craft proposals, and build relationships with funding entities, at regional, national, and international level
- Manage funding process: Coordinate with internal clients, funding institutions, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to regulations and company policies
- Maintain records: Maintain accurate records and provide support for timely funding
- Identify risks: Identify potential risks and follow procedures to mitigate them
Qualifications / skills /competencies
- Program management skills in order to coordinate all required inputs in a timely fashion according to the planning
- Negotiation skills to consolidate the different contributions with a win-win mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Skills with economics, math, accounting
- Written and verbal communication skills (English mandatory)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Proactivity to scout the funding possibilities on a global scale”
