About You and This Role
As a Product Owner at Liferay, you will represent the voice of our product, maximizing value through effective backlog management. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery. Key Objectives
1. Maximize product value via backlog prioritization.
2. Define iterations, stories, and accept increments.
3. Provide technical guidance to ensure architecture, scalability, and performance standards.
4. Align with stakeholders on priorities and roadmaps.
5. Translate technical requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
6. Plan sprints and accept final plans.
7. Track performance metrics to identify improvements.
8. Mentor team members and contribute to organizational growth.
Required Qualifications
* 4+ years in software development or Product Owner roles.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
* Humble, collaborative, adaptable.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience with Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) framework is a plus.
* Experience designing accessible products per WCAG 2.1 AA and advocating for inclusive design is a plus.
* Willing to travel occasionally.
