Senior Controller
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, collect data and prepare/update Project business plans, capex/cash flow budgets and forecasts, with attention to timing and respecting deadlines.
* Report variances and analyze financial performance against the budget.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
* Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports, with attention to public incentives’ reporting (PNRR compliance).
* Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS, other regulatory requirements.
* Improve current company processes and ensure the collection and payment of the invoices generated by the company.
* Develop and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with the Finance Director in Italy and executive team to develop financial strategies to meet business objectives.
* Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
* Support mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions.
Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Minimum of 3/4 years of proven experience as a Project Controller or in a similar senior finance role. Experience in Energy, Project Management or Engineering sectors and in public accounting are a plus.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Business Central) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
