The HSE Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our HSE programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
The HSE Specialist is responsible for managing Environment, Health and Safety issues in the Textile Division area. The person supports the HSE Manager of the Textile Division in the implementation of company guidelines on OSH and for the correct and complete implementation of health and safety regulations within the perimeter assigned to him.
With the Coordination of the HSE Manager, the person supports the Employer and the Delegated Managers for Risk Assessment and interfaces with other technical figures as well as with Local Authorities.
Job responsibilities
* Ensure the update and implementation of company guidelines in the HSE area within the Textile Division;
* Ensure the monitoring of the regulations applicable in the HSE area and the correct dissemination of company directives and worker information and training programmes;
* Collaborate in the mapping of processes and the drafting and implementation of procedures and instructions in the HSE field, ensuring uniformity of approach;
* Ensure the correct application and related monitoring of the legal provisions on Health, Safety and the Environment;
* Collaborate in the application and maintenance of the Integrated Health, Safety and Environment Management System;
* Promote the correct and continuous maintenance of plants, machines and work equipment to create and maintain safe and healthy conditions for workers;
* Verify the state of the workplaces and their compliance with health, safety, ergonomics, accessibility requirements as well as their compliance with fire safety and evacuation requirements;
* Conduct the analysis of accidents and injuries and suggests improvements necessary to prevent the causes of accidents, while promoting the dissemination of the culture of Safety;
* Conduct audits and inspections at the production plants, detecting any non-compliance with regulations and develops and monitors appropriate improvement plans;
* Coordinate and support to the HSE Manager on management control for HSE Budget
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
* Professional certifications such as ASPP is a plus.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is desirable.
* Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices.
