Purpose of the Job
Train Validation Engineer (TVE) operates inside a Project development team and he/she is the Project reference person for the Validation activities at trainset level
He/she leads the Validation activities for the Train level during tender and project execution.
He/she commits and manages Quality, Csot and Deliveries for Train Validation (TV).
He/she reports functionally to the Project Engineering mamaneger of the project.
Main Responsibilities
Accountable for :
1. Implementing the standard process and related methodologies and tools in order to ensure Validation efficiency
2. Writing test procedures and test reports
3. Test Execution
4. Ensuring the timely issue of the Validation proves (including proves of lower level systems and components) and consolidating Validation files
5. Providing structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the Train Validation metier technical repository.
Responsible for :
6. EHS KPI and compliancy to EHS rules in Validation activities
7. Reviewing part of the Sub-System Validation Plan relevant to test at Train level and accepting (to be included in Train Validation Plan) or rejecting considering other possibilities
8. Managing the Train level validation activities, creating and maintaining the Validation Plan
9. Managing the Train Validation project team
10. Managing the consolidation of Train Validation commitment and performance in due time for the tender or the project
11. Approving Train System handover
12. Approving reviewing Train Test Procedures / reports
13. Managing the validation schedule, optimizing the validation sequence in relationship with the train design and configuration maturity and test means availability
14. For Validation scope establishing & organizing Technical Interface with customer, producing Customer Documents and obtaining Customer Approval when necessary.
Educational Requirements and Experience
15. Experience in team and project management: 1 to 3 years depending on team size, multi-metiers or multi-sites team and project, including Customer and external stakeholders Technical Management
16. Train system knowledge (system analysis, railways) : at least 2 years
17. Tests organization capability, knowledge of planning tools
18. Knowledge of Standards & Regulation
19. Knowledge of Work Package Management
20. Fluent in english
21. Required electrical habilitation level.
