In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory analyses on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products, constantly interfacing with the Coordinator to provide timely and accurate results. You will play a crucial part in ensuring product quality, compliance, and food safety within our operations. Main Accountabilities: - Prepare samples for customers, collaborative studies, and/or wet lab comparison data. - Perform analysis of samples throughout the process utilizing various standardized methods. - Analyze samples as per requirements of implemented/requested programs (Proficiency Program, Ring-Test Analyses) or per additional requests from other regions within the Company. - Accurately enter analysis data, including trending and standard deviations. - Execute equipment diagnostics and calibration procedures. - Cross-train on equipment troubleshooting and act as a backup for other laboratory functions. - Communicate analysis results and/or issues effectively to the management team. - Promote safety by driving a zero-incident culture, ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors. - Be an effective safety leader, engaging in Bunge safety discussions and initiatives. - Support policy and procedure creation and training initiatives. - Ensure lab sanitation procedures are consistently followed. - Review CoA information to assist in determining incoming product compliance to specifications. - Support feed and food security policies. - Support the development and maintenance of Prerequisite and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) Programs for food and feed products. - Be prepared to work a flexible schedule that may include off-shifts, holidays, and weekends. - Demonstrate the following core values and guiding behaviors which are expected of all employees at Bunge: Integrity, Openness and Trust, Teamwork, Commitment, Entrepreneurship, and Customer Focus. - Perform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will likely shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the organization. - Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to take action and resolve them. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar laboratory context. - Knowledge of food safety, product quality, and environmental policies. - Proficiency in user-level computer skills (e.g., MS Office suite). - Knowledge and experience in the use of various laboratory instrumentation. - Emergency management skills.
