Samsonite, a global leader in travel and lifestyle products, is expanding into the non‐travel women's accessories category. We are developing a new line of feminine, functional, business‐organised leather goods designed for modern professional women.

We are looking for a Senior Designer – Women's Leather Goods (Freelance) to lead the creative development of this collection, combining elegant aesthetics, intelligent organisation, and everyday functionality.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- Lead the design and development of backpacks, shoulder bags, briefcases, and pouches for women
- Translate trends in women's accessories, workwear, and lifestyle into clear, functional product concepts
- Balance aesthetics and usability to create refined, practical designs
- Collaborate closely with product development, marketing teams, and material suppliers
- Oversee prototype development, ensuring high standards in materials, construction, hardware, and functionality
- Integrate sustainable materials and responsible design practices where possible
Your Profile\n
- 5+ years of experience designing women's leather goods or accessories, ideally in business or organisational categories
- Strong portfolio demonstrating functional, premium women's products
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with 3D design tools is a plus (hardware details and construction accuracy are key)
- Solid understanding of materials, leather goods xivgfpx construction, and production processes
- Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic, solution‐oriented design approach
- Experience in Northern European design environments and knowledge of the German market are highly valued

- Contract: Freelance, project‐based
- Location: Remote, with regular visits to the Italian Head Office in Milan
