At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.We are currently looking for a Project Financial Controller to join our M Renewables team in Milan, part of our Italian subsidiary.The main mission of The Project Financial Controller is to be the key control of all financial aspects of the project. Main responsibilities include project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and reporting.Your role will encompass:
Work side‐by‐side with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on project teams.Follow up on projects' budget and report on their financial performance and progress.Review all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly and ensure accuracy and completeness.Prepare revenue projections and forecast overhead expenditure as needed.Assist the Finance Manager and the Controllers with preparing and monitoring budgets.Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.Assist the Finance Manager with annual audit activities.Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non‐compliance.Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns under the supervision and guidance of the Finance Manager and the external tax advisor.Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting systems (SAP, Teamsystem Studio), programs, and procedures.Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff (2 Accountants and the external accounting & tax service providers) as required or assigned.
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.7+ years of accounting experience.Good working knowledge of tax laws and both OIC (ITA GAAP) in particular OIC 23 and IAS/IFRS, in particular IFRS 15, IAS 7, IAS 16, IAS 21, IAS 23, IAS 24, IAS 38, IFRS 9.Good accounting and tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.).Good financial analysis skills (management accounting).Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational and stress management skills (respect of deadlines in terms of tax compliance and calendar of reporting, IAS/IFRS compliant).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.Good knowledge of SAP and Teamsystem Studio.Ability to manage younger members of the team and deal with controllers and project managers to collect proper information and/or documentation.Fluent in English (both written and verbal).Attractive remuneration package.Friendly and professional working environment.Cooperation, creativity and innovation: we adopt flexible cooperation models to achieve fast results and increase productivity.
