Mechanical Testing Engineer
Position located in the HQ team based in Quattordio (AL), reporting directly to the R&D testing laboratory Director.
Responsibilities
* Be in charge of mechanical tests on submarine cable systems to assess their capability to withstand mechanical stresses.
* Set up optimized test circuitry, measure instruments, and liaise with internal customers and engineering teams (HQ departments or local R&D) to understand project needs.
* Coordinate laboratory operators involved in testing, run the testing activities and analyse the test results.
* Define the scheduling of tests and lead R&D related projects.
Qualifications
* Around 2 years of experience in testing laboratories.
* Fluent in English both written and spoken.
* A master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Decision‑making attitude, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong teamwork skills, results‑oriented and an ambitious mindset.
