Amazon Worldwide Operations relies on the External Fulfilment team to deliver consistent customer experience. The City Manager will monitor operations and compliance across multiple sites, working closely with stakeholders for timely launches and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead city-level operations performance, owning site scorecards and ensuring consistent achievement of service, quality, and speed KPIs through daily monitoring and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong on‐ground presence through regular site visits, building trusted partnerships with vendors and operational teams to drive execution excellence and compliance.
- Coach and develop vendors and frontline teams, identifying performance gaps and unlocking improvement opportunities through structured follow‐ups.
- Own inventory and material availability, ensuring accurate stock management, replenishment, inbound quality, and regular inventory audits to prevent operational disruptions.
- Drive operational readiness and change execution, identifying and closing gaps for new launches, peak periods, holidays, and site closures to protect customer experience.
- Act as the primary owner for operational issue resolution, leading firefighting, troubleshooting, and time‐critical recoveries to minimize customer and business impact.
- Leverage data and operational tools, conducting daily deep dives on KPIs to detect risks early, resolve root causes, and drive fact‐based decision‐making.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and escalations, coordinating cross‐functionally to resolve issues while maintaining clear, professional communication.
- Conduct site visits across EG, launching new nodes at vendor warehouses; owning a car is required.
A Day in the Life
The City Manager begins by reviewing dashboards and site scorecards to track performance, identify risks, and plan corrective actions. Significant time is spent on‐site coaching teams, ensuring compliance, and closing execution gaps. The role requires flexibility for weekend travel, overnight shifts, and resolving operational issues while maintaining stakeholder communication.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in logistics
