Job Title: F2 Performance/Data & Systems Engineer
Location: Ossona, Italy (with extensive travel to circuits)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Travel: Required to all FIA Formula 2 races, private tests, and simulator/rig sessions
A highly respected European motorsport organisation competing in FIA Formula 2, Formula 3, and other elite single-seater series. With a reputation for engineering precision, race-winning results, and driver development, the team is expanding its technical structure ahead of the 2026 season. This is a multifaceted trackside and factory-based role that blends performance engineering, electronics/systems, and IT infrastructure responsibilities. You'll be accountable for ensuring the reliability and competitiveness of the F2 cars across testing, races, simulator work, and rig activities.
Working closely with the Race Engineers, Technical Director, and mechanics, you'll manage everything from data systems and car programming to telemetry analysis and vehicle modelling. A strong understanding of electronic systems and the ability to optimise performance under pressure is critical.
Lead the management and reliability of car electronics, sensors, and harnesses
Operate and maintain data and telemetry systems across race/test events
Conduct in-depth analysis on clutch maps, tyre degradation, and driver performance
Oversee garage IT setup including radios, Wi-Fi, data servers, and engineer workstations
Attend all FIA Formula 2 races and tests; support simulator and rig testing activity
Collaborate with race engineers to support qualifying and race strategy decisions
Conduct in-field electrical troubleshooting and sensor calibrations
Manage post-session analysis, issue documentation, and team reporting
Support driver coaching, reporting, and manual updates
Actively assist in pitstop procedures and team operations
Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Motorsport, or Electrical Engineering
Expertise in motorsport telemetry/data systems (Marelli, Bosch, etc.)
Strong background in vehicle systems and trackside electronics
Capable of managing complex systems including rig/sim testing workflows
Skilled in MATLAB, Pi Toolbox, Atlas, or similar data tools
Fluent in English (Italian a plus)
Willingness to travel to all events and work high-pressure race weekends
EU work eligibility required (visa sponsorship available for the right candidate)
Experience supporting dual-car operations at the Formula level
Prior work in simulator development, rig testing, or vehicle correlation
