We Are Hiring: Senior Financial Controller Your Role As a Senior Financial Controller at Spoki, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic visibility across the business. Your main focus will be managing the full accounting cycle, producing timely and reliable financial reporting, and supporting the CFO in planning, budgeting, and investor-facing activities. You'll work at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy — turning numbers into insights that drive decisions in a fast-growing Saa S company. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting: Own the monthly and quarterly close process, ensure accuracy of financial statements (P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and maintain compliance with Italian GAAP (OIC) and tax regulations. Budget & Forecast Support: Collaborate with the CFO on annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis (budget vs. actual), helping translate financial data into actionable narratives. Saa S Metrics & KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on key Saa S metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, Rule of 40) to support data-driven decision-making and investor reporting. Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow planning, manage banking relationships, and ensure liquidity visibility across entities. Intercompany & Multi-Entity Management: Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation across our Italian and Spanish entities. Compliance & Audit: Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure full regulatory compliance and audit readiness. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, leverage tools and AI to reduce manual work, and build scalable processes for a growing organization. Experience & Skills 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or FP& A roles, preferably in Saa S, tech, or high-growth startup environments (or equivalent experience in Big Four / audit firms with a transition to industry). Strong command of Italian accounting standards (OIC) and tax regulations; Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Excel/Google Sheets at an advanced level, and familiarity with BI or reporting tools. Understanding of Saa S business models and unit economics. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to see both the big picture and the granular detail. Proactive, autonomous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift. Proficient in English (written and spoken).
