A long-standing pharmaceutical company is partnering with GRS Recruitment to hire a Financial Controller for their Nicosia-based offices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial matters. They will work closely with the executive team to make financial decisions, develop and implement financial strategies, and guide the company towards its financial goals. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
* Develop and implement financial strategies and advise the executive team for decision-making.
* Manage the company's cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Manage the annual budgeting process and track variances.
* Lead the finance team to maintain high performance standards.
* Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax planning.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and promote financial efficiency.
* Support the executive team in evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions.
* Establish and monitor internal controls and procedures where appropriate.
* Negotiate with suppliers.
* Ensure compliance and efficiency in all financial matters.
* Support the company in achieving its mission and goals through financial analysis and information.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
* ACA, ACCA, C.P.A qualifications are required.
* Strong financial and accounting experience, with proven controllership, reporting, and finance expertise. Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage.
* Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
* Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership and team management experience.
* Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Trustworthy and reliable personality.
