This role is key in developing technically sound and cost-effective proposals for customers in the Nutrition & Health sector.

As a Proposal Engineer, you will collaborate with Commercial, Process Technology, and Systems Execution teams to design tailored process systems that meet client requirements.

You will be responsible for preparing proposals that include cost estimates, P&IDs;, layout drawings, and project schedules – ensuring alignment with internal governance and customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the Commercial function to ensure customer requirements are clearly defined and understood and that a detailed RFQ analysis has been completed as required.Understand and follow all SPX FLOW internal governance and proposal approval processes.Collaborate with Commercial, Process Technology and Project Delivery functions to develop process solutions including process flow sheets and P&ID;'s and ensure proposed solution and scope development align with customer needs and expectations.Prepare the detailed costing (equipment & services) using the appropriate tool.Build relationships with internal subcontractors to obtain the necessary sub-quotations or cost estimates.Consult external subcontractors in accordance with Supply Chain management IDEF processes and procedures.Conduct design, quotation, and cost reviews (TCR) in line with internal processes.Identify and communicate technical, financial, and scope-related risks during proposal development (cost, scope, acceptance criteria, etc.).

Work with Engineering and Project Management to create detailed project schedules.Support completion and review of all documents required for internal stage gate submission.Ensure the RFQ deviation list properly reflects the scope and limits.Manage internal communication between departments and / or Business Units towards building one SPX FLOW proposal.Ensure proposals are submitted to internal and external customers on time and at required quality.Maintain clear documentation and version tracking of proposals, including cost and scope changes.Maintain a strong relationship and trust with Commercial organization.Support development of CVO quotes with Project Management & Commercial.Participate in handover meetings and in closure meetings at the end of a project.What You'll BringTo succeed in this role, we're looking for a technically capable and commercially aware individual with a strong collaborative mindset.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and an eye for detail.We Would Love To See The FollowingBachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or a related technical discipline.3+ years of experience in the Nutrition & Health industry or in a comparable field, within proposals, process engineering, project management, or related roles.Hands-on experience with proposal development and cost estimation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Fluency in English and Italian, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
