Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructorRelentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state specific academic accountability goalsDeliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need, rooted in research-based instructional practicesAdapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing changes in assignments and prioritiesEffectively work with students at various age levels, from ages 5 to 14Complete course set up for each course within the Learning Management SystemMonitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments dailyTrack and maintain contact with each studentCollaborate with academic leads to provide needed documentation for schoolsReview student level data frequently to inform instructional program adjustmentsDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of all studentsUtilize research-based best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous instructionCreate a joyful, caring, and loving classroom environment for all studentsIntegrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleaguesImplement school-wide culture expectations and norms, inside the classroom and beyondCommunicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of studentsIncorporate 21st century technology skills into daily classroom practice and team settingsCollaborate and communicate effectively, humbly, and respectfully with all colleaguesPerform other duties as assigned
About You
Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content areaOhio residency preferredKnowledge of State Standards and Common Core StandardsPreferred two years' experience teachingHigh level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoringHigh quality written and verbal communication skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google productsAbility to properly manage confidential informationAbility to supervise students in all school settingsAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checksExperience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
