Classroom Teaching Responsibilities (80%) Establish classroom environments that are creative, focused, engaging, and which embody IB philosophy and the mission statement of the school. Use flexible teaching methodologies that engage students with diverse learning styles. Lead by example, demonstrate the IB learner profile in action, and guide students toward becoming open-minded, compassionate, thoughtful learners with a global perspective. Assess and respond to student abilities and progress, adapting their approach with different teaching styles. Undertake lesson preparation, set/mark examinations, write student reports, and develop assessments aligned to the IB requirements and the school calendar. Effective use of the learning management system. Set and mark students’ work accurately and promptly, giving guidance and work according to their needs, supporting their development and progression. Provide regular and supportive feedback to students and parents. Support students' personal development and wellbeing and seek support from the School Counsellor and Programme Heads where welfare concerns are identified.
