Regional Value & Access Lead, ADC, Italy PrimaryObjective of Position The Regional Value & Access Lead isresponsible for access and reimbursement at regional level.Assigned to a selection of named Regions, the Regional Value &Access Lead is responsible for developing market access strategiesat regional level and implementing cross-functional action planaimed at achieving market access objectives at short andmedium-long term. He/She ensures to dissemintate FSL ecosystemvalue proposition to all relevant stakeholders including policymakers, payers, Key Opinion Leaders, patients associations and HTAexperts with attention to clinical, socio-economic evidence andimpact on health care organizations. He/She will also facilitatethe creation of a connection among all relevant stakeholders toobtain/expand ADC products reimbursement and facilitate accessaddressing opportunities coming from external environment (i.e.health care digitalization process, primary care reform). He/Shemaintains and expands relationships with strategically importantcustomers. Major Accountabilities Main tasks include:
• Be thepoint of contact and 'face' of ADC to regional/local payers, policymakers, pts associations and KOLs involved in reimbursement andmarket access conditions at regional level.
• Cultivate, seek,maintain and build relationships with the multiple stakeholders whodefine or influence regional policy on diabetes care to ensurecustomer centricity.
• Create and seek opportunities to gainendorsement for ADC products by relevant regional market accessstakeholders
• Be familiar with the key regional stakeholder needswithin diabetes and the healthcare environment. Anticipate changesto regional landscape and assess impact to ADC business. Provideinsights on regional environment.
• Develop intimacy and adopttransparent relationships with all stakeholders in all channelsthrough effective networking at all levels in order to gainpreference for Abbott Diabetes Care brands.
• Be responsible forregional market access plan development and implementation aimed atachieving/expanding ADC products regional reimbursement(eligibility) and access.
• Drive and grow the ADC business,anticipating and overcoming barriers and gaining opportunities toproduct usage, to support delivering of Sales and market sharetargets in the selected Regions.
• Leading implementation ofstrategic partnership and market access projects enhancing FSLecosystem (i.e. inclusion of sensor-based telemonitoring in AbbottCommercial Affiliates – Area EMEAP Regional Value & AccessLead, ADC, Italy Regional Value & Access Lead, ADC, Italy –Edition 01 regional diabetes guidelines / local protocols forin-patient and out-patient setting)
• Anticipate contracting andtendering opportunities and risk within care groups to properlyposition the ADC portfolio and coordinate with sales team oncontracts/tender strategies to sustain access, profitability andFSL digital ecosystem enhancement
• Ensures that all activities areperformed in compliance with quality system requirements. EducationB.A. or B.s. Degree in Medicine, Economics or Science. Master'sdegree in Medicine, Business Administration, Public Health, HealthEconomics or Health Policy. Background Proven experience ofinteracting and building relationships directly with healthcarestakeholders/decision makers at all levels Knowledge of thehealthcare landscape and trends, including payers, and healthcarefunding flows Knowledge of decision-making processes and who arethe key stakeholders/influencers Ability to develop strategies andto translate them into actionable and realistic engagement plans toensure market access of Abbott products, in alignment with brandstrategies A bility to collect and share insights with ADCorganization to support the development of value propositionsaddressing customers' needs. A proven ability to interact andinfluence customers at all levels to deliver a successfulcommercial outcome. Excellent communications skills with theability to deliver clear concise messages. Impact of position In the currentenvironment, reimbursement policies have a significant impact onpatients, manufacturers, retailers, distributors, physicians andany healthcare provider. Failure to recognize reimbursement changesand opportunities may result in significant loss of revenue for newand existing products. Additionally, noncompliance with governmentreimbursement policies and interpretations within the corporationmay lead to lawsuits by individuals and payers.
