HSE Officer - Italian & English Speaking Location: Wind farm construction sites across Italy Contract type: Full-time / Project-based We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer with strong language skills in Italian and English to join our team and support the safe and compliant execution of wind farm installation projects in Italy. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Management: - Ensure full compliance with Italian and EU HSE regulations, especially Legislative Decree 81/2008. - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify risks and implement corrective actions. - Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation (DVR, POS). - Support site managers in enforcing safety procedures and proper use of PPE. - Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and drive preventive actions. - Deliver safety inductions and daily toolbox talks to site personnel. Environmental Compliance: - Ensure adherence to Italian environmental regulations (D.Lgs 152/2006). - Oversee waste management practices on site. - Monitor environmental KPIs and suggest improvements where necessary. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: - Keep documentation up to date according to Italian and EU standards. - Liaise with authorities, auditors, and certification bodies to ensure legal compliance. - Assist in preparing reports for stakeholders, including INAIL. Emergency Preparedness & Training: - Develop and test emergency response plans in coordination with local emergency services. - Promote a proactive safety culture through regular training and awareness initiatives. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field. - NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification preferred. - Proven experience in safety roles on wind farm or construction projects. - Excellent knowledge of Italian HSE legislation (D.Lgs 81/2008) and EU standards. - Strong experience in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigation. - Fluent in Italian and English - both written and spoken.: - Valid driving license and willingness to travel to remote project locations. Preferred Qualifications - RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) certification in Italy. - Experience with lifting operations, working at height, and confined spaces. - Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards.
