Vertiv is seeking a bSupplier Quality Engineer /b to join our team in bPiove di Sacco (PD), Italy /b. /ppThe Supplier Quality Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve the Vertiv product supplier base through a quality management system and product process audits. This role maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality of purchased components and materials with a focus on continuous improvement. The role includes pursuing quality objectives, ensuring timely delivery of project PPAPs, and driving development and continuous improvement of the supplier base. /ph3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3ulliInitiate and lead supplier performance improvement by partnering with suppliers to identify, understand, and abate issues for New Product Development Introduction (NPDI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Mass Production. /liliMonitor and address supplier nonconformance issues by developing robust quality control plans and implementing effective, sustainable corrective actions. /liliDrive permanent resolution of supplier issues reported by Vertiv facilities and by customers. /liliLead and own PPAP requirements associated with a change. /liliLead problem definition and preventative problem solving through containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action with Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR). /liliDevelop root cause analyses and supplier reports on reported issues. Communicate outcomes of investigations to internal teams (Engineering, Service, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales, Offering Management, Plants Quality) to resolve quality issues impacting Vertiv facilities and customers. /liliPrepare concise verbal and written executive summaries for Leadership Team, simplifying complex information. /liliPerform supplier on-site audits to monitor QMS compliance and effectiveness. /liliIdentify areas for quality improvements and document improvement needs when visiting suppliers and installations. /liliEvaluate potential new suppliers by conducting on-site audits and scoring of Quality Management System. /liliProvide monthly reporting and status updates to management on supplier performance and quality initiatives. /liliSupport execution and maintenance of an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System. /liliOther responsibilities may be assigned as needed based on company evolution and department requirements. /li /ulh3What will make you successful? /h3ulli1–3 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role or related field. /liliExperience with problem-solving tools and techniques (e.g., 8-D, 5 Whys, SCAR, Fishbone, Pareto, Six Sigma, PPAP). /liliAbility to manage multiple tasks by priority, difficulty, and severity. /liliBackground in applying statistical tools for process and product development and control (e.g., Gage RR, Process Capability, Control Plans, SPC, PFMEA). /li /ulh3Time Travel Required /h3ulli35%+ /li /ulpEqual Opportunity Employer statement: Vertiv is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
