PpThe role – what is it we would like you to do? /p pThe cost consultant / quantity surveyor manages all costs relating to hospitality, data center, logistics, residential sector project. Its primary role is to estimate and monitor costs from the initial planning stage through to completion of a project including preparation of budget, cost plans, BOQs, tender evaluation, valuation of contractor’s payment ensuring projects are completed within budget. /p pThis role requires experience in cost consulting in electro-mechanical (MEP) pricing for building, data center, logistics project. /p pThis is a full-time position, location in Treviso, Italy. /p pAs a Cost Consultant - Quantity Surveyor your core duties will involve: /p ul liMarket analysis including inflation, risks and others. /li liBudget preparation and capex review during feasibility stage. /li liCost estimation during design phase including analysis of costs of labour and materials. /li liPreparing bills of quantities for contractors to price during the tender process. /li liNegotiating and managing contracts between clients and contractors. /li liAdvise on contractual and procurement strategy /li liLead tender stage including managing tender process, tender analysis, and recommendation of most suitable contractor for the projects. /li liMonitoring costs during construction stage to ensure the project remains within budget. /li liApproval of contractors payment application. /li liAdvising on tax depreciation schedules and life cycle costing of buildings. /li liResolving disputes between contractors and clients regarding costs. /li liProviding accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients. /li liMaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects. /li liLiaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control. /li liDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner. /li liProviding support to the project lead, project manager or senior cost manager. /li liRepresenting the Company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships. /li /ul pWhat skills and attributes are we looking for from you /p ul liBachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Economics, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. /li liBoth Italian and English advanced level is required /li liA minimum of three to five years’ technical delivery experience as economist/QS/cost consultant, with experience in pricing electro-mechanical works. /li liExperience in MEP pricing, suppliers contacts, administrative understanding for permitting process in buildings, Data Center or similar high-tech sector. /li liPre- and post-contract experience /li liStrong analytical and numerical skills /li liExcellent communication and negotiation skills /li liProficiency with spreadsheets, cost databases, and specialist quantity surveying software /li liKnowledge of building and construction methods, legal issues, and HS standards. /li liGood client-facing and communication skills. /li liWell‑organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well‑disciplined and commercially astute. /li liA team player with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible. /li /ul h3About Us /h3 pCurrie Brown is one of the leading international physical asset management and construction consultancies, dedicated to advising clients worldwide with our expertise and experience in multiple sectors and services.
