The Buyer will be involved in boosting up the retail sales performance of the collection with the definition of the guidelines during the sales campaign and the planning of in-season activities.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
* Sales campaign guidelines: support the regional buying strategy to build up the collection according to the themes of the collection and the local market needs;
* Targeted in-season activities: ensure the consistency between the brand image and the collection and react to the market trends;
* Cooperation with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure that windows and in store image match corporate guideline;
* Delivers trainings about new collections to the retail population transferring them buying strategy and assortments;
* Forecast store level budgets understanding sales curves through use of history and planning building blocks;
* Identify and recommend opportunities to the Allocator to improve sales performance through stock rebalancing/ transfers, reorders and markdown strategy on a weekly / monthly and seasonal basis;
* Oversee all distribution processes, giving guidance to the Allocator to ensure best practice in all Allocation and Replenishment processes;
* Identify and recommend opportunities to improve sales performance through stock transfers or reorders;
* Ad-hoc sales analysis for management;
* Continuously analyze and reforecast business and recommend/implement strategies to ensure plan is achieved, including adjusting product flow and inventory management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Significant previous experience as a Buyer within a Retail oriented company in the Luxury segment;
* Experience of an Omni-channel retailer (e.g. in store ordering and fulfilling e-commerce orders from store);
* Experience working with a Merchandise Planning tool;
* Fluent in English, a second European language a plus;
* Strong Excel skills, with the ability to handle large data sets;
* Outstanding communicator;
* Multitasking, problem solving attitude;
* Commercial sense;
* Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills;
* Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
