Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to the construction and installation of electrical systems for new and existing buildings and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion. Identify and procure materials, equipment, and labor required for projects. Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and vendors. Ensure projects comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including Health and Safety regulations. Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to meet project requirements and address issues. Manage work quality to meet or exceed customer expectations. Identify and mitigate project risks, taking corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Manage project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control. Lead and evaluate the project team, assigning tasks and providing guidance. Conduct regular project reviews to identify improvements and implement corrective actions. Monitor project progress to ensure scope, time, and cost adherence. Provide technical support and training to team members. Stay updated with the latest industry technologies, trends, and best practices. Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Oversee the project aftercare to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders. Improve project management processes and methodologies continuously. Qualifications : HNC, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in project management or electrical-related disciplines (or equivalent). SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification (or equivalent). IOSH Certificate in managing Health and Safety (or equivalent). Driver's License. Project management certification, such as APMP from APM. Significant experience managing electrical power distribution projects, especially in energy or utility sectors. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Knowledge & Skills : In-depth knowledge of HV / LV cable laying, switchgear installation, cable jointing, and commissioning. Ability to interpret complex requirements, identify risks, and communicate effectively. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Effective decision-making under pressure. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to coordinate site activities ensuring safety. Strong understanding of commercial terms and project delivery impact. Proficient with Microsoft Project. Experience : Leading complex electrical projects and managing project management tools and standards. Delivering projects aligned with customer needs and expectations. Managing project budgets and controlling costs. Ensuring safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
